EA surprise with a fair price for BBR

Xboxic » EA surprise with a fair price for BBR: "If you thought Boom Boom Rocket was going to be ridiculously over-priced simply because the game is from the megalord that is EA, then you will be shocked/surprised/delighted to know that the game will cost 800 MS Points: a fair price for a new Arcade title. There is also the official logo to be witnessed after the jump.

Vision Cam works with PS3

Xbox 360 Fanboy: "The Xbox 360 only accepts the Xbox Live Vision Camera as a means to utilize its Video Chat, Picture Message and Personal Gamer Picture features. That being said, the Vision Camera, being a USB webcam, can work on a PC. You can add the Playstation 3 to the list, as the PS3 now accepts virtually all USB cameras, thanks to its 1.54 firmware update. While only one of our bloggers had the fiscal irresponsibility to pick up a PS3, does this affect any of you multi-platform readers. And if so, how would you feel using the Vision camera during a video chat on the other console?"

Forza Motorsport 2 release date unveiled

Xboxic » Forza Motorsport 2 release date unveiled: "After informing you of Forza Motorsport 2’s scheduled arrival in May 2007, we at Xboxic are now going that one step further to give you an actual date. A press release on Xbox Japan states that Forza 2 will be hitting the shelves on May 24th. Now there’s a date to pencil into your diaries.
Forza Motorsport 2

Having recently confirmed that Forza 2 would also be launched in Europe during May, Turn 10 insisted that “we felt it was only right for Forza Motorsport 2’s online community if we were to release the game on a global level simultaneously”. With that in mind we can only assume that the May 24th release date in Japan would apply to all of us around the globe.

The press release over at Xbox Japan goes on to inform us of the arrival of the Wireless Force Feedback Racing Wheel on the same day. Whilst the wheel has been available in Europe since December 06, bundled with Project Gotham Racing 3, we can only hope that the wheel will be re-launched as a bundle with Forza 2 on May 24th."

512MB memory card and exciting XBLA news

512MB memory card and exciting XBLA news - Xbox 360 Fanboy: "It looks like that silly rumor was true as Microsoft just announced a bigger memory card for the Xbox 360. The new 512MB Xbox 360 memory card will be available April 3rd, will retail for $49.99, and for a limited time will come pre-loaded with Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved. Simultaneously, the ancient 64MB memory card will drop in price to $29.99 (be on the lookout for clearance prices). Also, with the announcement of the new 512MB card, the XBLA size limit will be raised from 50MB to 150MB allowing developers to run wild with their creativity. Microsoft also announced that they'll be showcasing XBLA titles Boom Boom Rocket, 3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures, Eets: Chowdown, Jetpac Refuelled, and Pinball FX at GDC. Check out the full press release after the break.

So, after reading that informative spiel what is your gut reaction? We definitely agree with raising the XBLA size limit to 150MB and find the 512MB memory card to be a much better deal than the old 64MB version. And for curiosity's sake, is there anyone out there who just purchased a 64MB memory card and is kicking themselves?"

The psychology behind you and your Gamertag

Xbox 360 Fanboy: "Playing on Xbox Live introduces you to a plethora of personalities, cultures, and interesting people. And unless you've been living under the 360's power brick, you know that on Xbox Live your online identity is your Gamertag. But what does your Gamertag really tell others about you? The guys over at Games Radar put on their scientific hats, because they were curious to what the sub-conscious meaning and hidden significance was behind a person's Gamertag. They took a sample of real Gamertags, broke them down into six categories, and received some insight from a professor of psychology. They came away with a few generalized meanings behind each category as they make logicial (psychology) sense. A person's Gamertag is (simply put) their chosen online identity, a label to which they wish to be called, and a label they consciously choose. So, sometimes their is hidden meaning behind a Gamertag and we can learn a little bit about a person just from it, even without even talking to them. But even after reading this article I have yet to learn what the hidden significance behind SuperDunners is ... I guess I'm just super."

MotoGP 07 Hands on

Xbox 360 Fanboy: "IGN got some hands-on time with MotoGP '07 and came back with some intriguing details. First off, all of the licensed GP tracks you know and love will be making a triumphant return this September. The face lift to the graphics are also worthing noting, as well as adding tweaks to the handling to make the game a little more accessible, while still maintaining its simulation roots. The Extreme mode is also back, and apparently at least some of the tracks from last year will be playable again. Customization will be more in depth, to help make your bike yours. But, it won't necessarily be yours forever, as you can take a page out of Juiced 2's book and race for pink slips on your crotch rocket. More details available by clicking the 'Read' link. With the swarm of MotoGP news, can September come soon enough? Or should we wake you when it's over?"

Part I: HD DVD vs. Blu-Ray – The Epic Battle

Technology at DVDActive: "I am going to open this review by saying that I like to live at the cutting edge of modern technology. I crave anything that has a chip in it, especially high-end equipment that can do more than just look pretty. The item that will be under my critical microscope today is Microsoft's Xbox 360 HD DVD add-on. For the purpose of this review, I decided to take pictures of the unit from its unboxing to the final set up. I hope you find it to be thorough and helpful."
