Crysis Running at 2048x1536 With a Framerate of 60+ FPS On a Single 8800GTX

Could Microsoft's DX10 claim of 6 to 8 times the performance of DX9 be true. It appears so. At CES 2007, Crysis was running in DX10 on Windows Vista at a massive 2048x1536 resolution with a perfectly smooth framerate (excluding the occasional framerate drops).
