25 New Gears of War images!

The following images of Gears of War surfaced on the internet tonight, showing what seems to be both single player and multiplayer sessions. It looks awesome, and I think this is the first time the HUD is visible.
Update: 720p versions and extra images added. The images are obviously captured with an analog HD capture system, so the fine details are a bit lost.

Nintendo MP3 Player Revealed

At Games Convention there was a surprise: In a leaflet the long lost Nintendo MP3 Player appeared. But neither a releasedate nor other details were revealed.
One week later, this has changed. The unit, which looks similar to the Japan-only Play-Yan, will be available for only EUR 29.99, the releasedate is not set in stones, but it looks to be October 6th, together with the Nintendo DS Browser.

With the news that MySpace drove more traffic to online retailers last week than did MSN search, nobody can deny this MySpace monster anymore, least of all game companies who hope to reach the MySpace generation.
And yet it seems that Nintendo (Wii MySpace page, 3672 friends) and Sony (PS3 MySpace page, 494 friends) have been slow to embrace the phenomenon, sporting anemic MySpace pages (and anemic friend counts to match). This is compared to the Xbox 360's relatively robust MySpace presence (68680 friends).

Duke developers jump ship

It seems like every time we actually find out anything remotely interesting about the development of Duke Nukem Forever, it comes through the medium of 3D Realms' staff arguing with fans on Internet forums. It almost makes you hanker for the good old days of press releases, interviews, screenshots... Remember all that stuff? Ahh.
This time out, the monthly DNF spat has been kicked off by a report at Shacknews which claimed that 3D Realms is haemorrrhaging development staff at a worrying rate - naming seven employees who have left the company recently, four of whom have gone off to work for Brothers in Arms developer Gearbox Software.
