Let's Get Ready 2 Rumble on 360?

Xbox 360 Fanboy: "While you may not have seen a Ready 2 Rumble game since 2000, by no means does that indicate the series is not going to see the light of day again. Publisher 10tacle Studios of Germany announced that it will be working with Japanese developer Aki. Michael Buffer will also return as the announcer with his trademark catch phrase. While details are a little sketchy in regards to platforms and release date, would you like to see this as a more playful counterpart to the Fight Night franchise? While we're here, did you ever play either game on the Dreamcast?"

Worms next week!

Xboxyde: "Microsoft annouced a few minutes ago that Worms would finally be released on Xbox Live Arcade next wednesday. Excellent news, with 3 new screens :)
Update: the game will cost 800 points. Good price."

51GB HD DVD disc gets official

Engadget HD: "In a strange turn of events, Blu-ray discs are outselling HD DVDs, and now the HD DVD format has taken the lead in capacity -- who would've think it? Toshiba just announced that it has successfully created a triple-layer disc with 17GB per layer, which amounts to 51GB, a full GB more than those dual-layer Blu-ray discs can muster. We heard about the size gains at CES this year, but Toshiba is already in the process of submitting the new extension of the format to regulatory approval, however, the word on the street still amounts to a potential Q4 release, and it's still unclear at this time what kind of manufacturing costs or complications these new discs will incur. We'll say it again: the format war is far from over."

Halo Wars Milestone Reached

IGN: "Following sibling development team Bungie Studios, which regularly posts development progress on its Website, well-known PC developer Ensemble Studios stepped in line with what looks like the beginning of a series of Website updates for the real-time strategy Halo Wars.

In the Halo Wars forums, Ensemble revealed nothing significant about Halo Wars, other than that Microsoft Game Studios' Executive Shame Kim and a posse of folks from his team visited Ensemble analyze its latest milestone. The undated RTS is playable in multiplayer form, offers some 'wicked' UI, and is still far from finished.

Far right in the red shirt is Graeme Devine, lead designer. Standing next to him is Music and Sound Lead Kevin McMullan.
'We made sure we had a fairly polished build of our game ready for these folks to play, including some wicked new UI work by Ensemble Studios Artist Andy Gotcher and Programmer Billy Khan,' reads the update. 'By all accounts the Microsoft gang had a good time with the game and was quite impressed with its current state. We've got a long way to go still, but it's very encouraging when a group like this can sit down and have fun beating the hell out of each other so far from any ship date.'

Grand Theft Auto IV trailer coming this month

Xbox 360 Fanboy: "Big news everyone, we're going to be seeing some Grand Theft Auto IV footage in an official trailer set to release on March 29th. GTA IV's official website has been updated with an iconic 'IV' logo, with the word 'TRAILER' below it and countdown timer. Excitement for the trailer should be high, because we've been a sheltered bunch when it comes to GTA IV goods. Rockstar has kept a lock on any GTA IV related media as we have yet to see any video, any screenshots, or any information other than an October release. As the countdown to March 29th nears, any speculation to how visually the game will compare to its predecessors, or will its success hinge on its gameplay?"

GTA IV definitely, definitely coming in October

Xboxic: "We all heard the announcement through various outlets, and we all saw the now famous tattoo sported by Peter Moore. It will be refreshing to hear then that the game is still definitely on track for the October release that was promised back at E3 last year.

The exclusivity issue is for the DLC that will be available after the game has been released. In a Take Two conference call discussing financial doings, they reiterated that the game was on course, and also revealed that the exclusive episodic content for the 360 will be going live in 2008, without any suggestion of what month.

A trailer of the game will also be going live on the 29th March, according to the official website which bears nothing other than a logo and a countdown timer. IGN took the time out to ask Rockstar for any further details, who responded with the following:

“Nope,” remarked the spokesperson we chatted with. “There’s nothing else we can add to that.”

Therefore we don’t know whether it’s a teaser trailer, whether it’s in-game footage for the 360 or the PS3, or where it is located. Something will surely be revealed come the end of March, but for now you will just have to sit tight and dream up some elaborate story as to what will be in the trailer.

Rumor: Peter Molyneux hints at online co-op?

Xbox 360 Fanboy: "GamePro recently had an interview with Peter Molyneux, president of Lionhead Studios, about Fable 2 wherein he used jujitsu to dodge some hard hitting questions. That being said, what he didn't say was definitely a lot. When asked about the Xbox 360's untapped potential, he brought up Xbox Live and its applications in a game like Fable 2, saying that four people going through a quest together in a self-contained environment as opposed to an open ended one hasn't been exploited yet. Unfortunately, he couldn't say explicitly how that pertains to Fable 2 and its online capabilities, if any. Still, it's interesting to hear how fascinated he is with the concept, and we can only imagine how it'd play out if it were true. Fable 2 co-op, eh? How do you like the sound ofthat?"
