PS3 - 4 million units shipped but only 1.88 million sold?

Last weekend Sony announced that they had shipped over 4 million PS3 consoles worldwide. The problem is that they have only managed to sell through around 1.88 million. Major League Baseball 2K7 Review (Xbox 360): If you’re one of those people that was disappointed by last year’s baseball offerings, you should run out and buy MLB 2K7 right now. It looks and sounds excellent, and the gameplay is as entertaining as it is challenging. There are some bugs here and there, but I haven’t seen anything that would ruin anyone’s enjoyment of the game. We would have liked to have seen a bit more innovation this time out (the gameplay is a lot like last year’s game), but the mechanics in place already worked well, so we’re not surprised that 2K decided against reinventing the wheel. We're happy to report that 2K Sports' Boys of Summer are back in fine form.

New Unreal Tournament 3 details emerge

Xbox 360 Fanboy: "Over at the Beyond Unreal forums, Doc Shock translated a German gaming magazine's interview with Jeff Morris about Unreal Tournament 3. From the translation and follow up by TeamXbox we learn that Unreal Tournament 3 will include a co-op option for the campaign, similar to how Gears of War works. They are also implementing voice commands where you'll be able to give a bot simple instructions to carry out, like navigating a vehicle or protecting a base. Morris also confirms that there will be 12 weapons, 15 vehicles, and 30 plus maps to enjoy. And as always, we'll be playing Unreal Tournament 3 on our Xbox 360s 'when it's done' ... because that's how Epic roles."

Online gaming addict dies after ‘marathon’ session

An obese 26-year-old man in northeastern China died after a "marathon" online gaming session over the Lunar New Year holiday, state media said on Wednesday. The 330-pound man from Jinzhou, in Liaoning province, collapsed on Saturday, the last day of the holiday, after spending "almost all" of the seven-day break playing online games. read more
