Xbox 360 vs. PlayStation 3 Live from the Apollo on H3TV

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--H3Enterprises, Inc. (OTC:HTRE) has announced that Harlem street ball legend and cyber sports superstar Adrian “Hollywood” Walton will be hosting the definitive match-up for gaming console supremacy between Microsoft’s (NASDAQ:MSFT) XBOX 360, and Sony’s (NYSE:SNE) new challenger, PlayStation3.

The competition will take place on H3’s revolutionary H3TV, the only high-definition flat screen that allows players to simultaneously compete on both gaming systems through split screen cyber television technology. The opening challenge will take place at 2 p.m. on December 6 at Harlem’s historic Apollo Theater on 125th Street.

“The H3TV Challenge gives all of us the chance to witness the same game being played on the same monitor at the same time on competing video gaming systems,” said Walton, H3’s chief communications officer. “H3TV offers our guest gamers the opportunity to compete on the ultimate 46” LCD flat screen and experience for themselves the subtle and not so subtle features that both XBOX 360 and PlayStation3 bring to the table on the highest resolution screens available anywhere. Everyone playing and watching will get an up-close visual comparison of each system’s imagery and will be able to judge for themselves who’s really best.”

“I can guarantee that a whole lot of my fellow Diplomats will be ballin’ at the Apollo, and we’re also looking forward to showing off H3TV at Spike TV’s Video Game Awards in Los Angeles on December 8 and chillin’ with Players like Snoop, Carmen Electra, 50 Cent, and Charlize Theron,” Walton said.

Our Apollo event and the VGA event should be decisive in determining whether XBOX 360 or PlayStation3 rules the cyber sports world. You’ll get to see the most popular games being played on competing consoles by the best-known gamers on earth in the highest possible resolution, side by side on the same exact monitor. It’s all happening in plenty of time for Christmas, too.”

H3 will be installing 44 H3TV screens at its first HipHopSodaShop in St. Petersburg, Florida and is making H3TV an integral part of the dining experience. A home entertainment version of H3TV will be marketed to the general public through the company’s h3inc.com Web site. H3 is currently in negotiations with the nation’s largest electronics retailers for mass market distribution of H3TV’s home entertainment system. H3 is the first public company dedicated to the hip hop culture and lifestyle.

Major Nelson Provides Update on Xbox Live Billing Issues

Following our previous report on the billing issues experienced by some Xbox Live users, the Xbox Live Director of Programming has posted the following information on its Major Nelson blog:

A recent security change to the Xbox Live service may have impacted users online purchase experience. Currently the video marketplace service and related content is only available to consumers in the United States. Although we will continue to work on providing content and rolling out the service in other markets, US Marketplace offers will be restricted to the US only. This means that the credit card associated with your account is required to match the billing address and country your account is set up in. Note that we are not banning any of these Xbox Live accounts, as they can continue to use pre-paid subscription cards and Microsoft Points cards.

Customers wanting to check the billing information on their account can do this on their console or by signing into Xbox.com with your account and then go to MY XBOX-> MY PROFILE then to BILLING AND CONTACT INFORMATION.

We also realize that there may be a small number of international users that were impacted by this change that have a legitimate reason for why their billing location does not match their account location. We are working to deal with these exceptions on a case by case basis and are working on a solution for these consumers.

This statement confirms our previous guess that the billing issues were experienced when the billing address of the credit card used doesn't match the membership's country.

It's good to hear that Microsoft won't ban these Xbox Live accounts but unfortunately all these Xbox Live subscribers found outside the U.S. will be forced to get pre-paid cards if they want to renew their memberships or buy Microsoft Points.

Hopefully, Microsoft will find a solution to this problem sooner than later.
