Has DVD Playback Been Removed from Nintendo's Wii?

"I decided to hit Nintendo's press site to look for details about the DVD-playback functionality. Thing is, it's no longer mentioned in any of the official hardware breakdowns. I also loaded up www.nintendo.com just to make sure I wasn't crazy and the same thing -- no mention of it."
