USA Today's Take On The Next Gen Systems

"With the arrival of two innovative new systems about two months away, the video game world is as unsettled as it has ever been. On Nov. 17, market leader Sony will launch its high-priced PlayStation 3 ($499-$599, depending on size of hard drive), having given a year's head start to challenger Microsoft's Xbox 360.
And trailing industry giant Nintendo is headed in a different direction with its Wii system this fall (no price or release date yet). Although not as powerful as the PS3 or 360 — in fact, it's described as having slightly more punch than today's GameCube — the Wii promises not only to be cheaper but also to change the gaming experience with its unique motion-sensitive controller."
