Wii having problems with 480p output?

I've experienced an occasional flicker, as well as a few other visual oddities. Upgrading my Pelican switcher box (now using the one with the lcd screen) cleared up most of my issues, but I still had a peculiar problem with the game Freedom Fighters (GC). Basically, all characters had blue skin. All colors were present - red, greed, etc., but everything had a blueish wash to it. Switched boxes, switched cables, hooked the wii up to my tv with conposite cables and still the same problem.
I wonder is this was a 480p issue. It would flicker during the opening credits, too...
