Wii is Region FREE!!! :-) and NO DVD PLAYBACK :-(

Forget about everything you know. (Nintendo Europe, Nintendo America). Perrin Kaplan says the Wii is region free and mentions that HD and DVD playback wasn't added due to cost implications.
